Conditional CMMC status: score thresholds and closeout deadlines
Conditional CMMC status has restricted eligibility and an official closeout deadline. A programme target or an 80% score threshold does not grant or extend that status.
What the threshold allows
Level 2 requires at least 88 of 110 points. POA&M items normally cannot exceed one point; 3.13.11 has an exception when encryption exists but is not FIPS-validated.
What cannot wait
Requirements 3.1.20, 3.1.22, 3.12.4, 3.10.3, 3.10.4 and 3.10.5 cannot be included. The threshold is a scoring rule, not a percentage of compliance.
Closeout and planning dates
Successful closeout assessment is required within 180 days of the Conditional CMMC Status Date; otherwise status expires. Record that official date separately from your programme target. Moving a target does not extend this deadline.
